While this article has focused on the reasons to legalize gay marriage, I would like to recommend an even better alternative: no federal definition or involvement in marriage whatsoever. Threatening the future of the traditional family will not be tolerated. It seems that Christian morality and the public purse are the two elements which are preventing the progress for same-sex couples wanting marriage equality.
